1. Scope and who we are

Closr operates a commission based gig marketplace that connects businesses offering product lines with independent closrs. This Privacy Policy applies to closr.run, the Closr dashboards, customer access portal, checkout and fulfillment flows, emails, and related services.

In this policy, “Closr,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of the Closr platform. Businesses may also process customer information for their own product delivery and support. Their separate privacy notices apply to that processing.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account and profile information: name, email address, password hash, phone number, profile photo, business details, address, website, professional biography, experience, specialties, and languages.
  • Product and sales information: product listings, prices, commission offers, sales codes, buyer name and email, sale status, fulfillment instructions, support requests, refunds, disputes, and subscription status.
  • Payout information: payout method, destination label, and encrypted payout destination details for PayPal, Cash App, or wire transfer. Stripe collects and processes bank, identity, and onboarding information when you use Stripe Connect.
  • Communications: contact form messages, support correspondence, buyer access issue reports, and feedback.
  • AI feature inputs: product information, goals, audience details, prompts, and other content submitted to the AI product studio or sales coach.

Information collected automatically

We receive basic device and request information such as IP address, request time, requested page, and server error information. We also create essential authentication, security, checkout, and session records. Closr does not currently use third party advertising cookies or behavioral analytics trackers.

Information from other sources

We receive account information from Google when you choose Google sign in; payment, refund, dispute, customer, subscription, and connected account information from Stripe; and buyer or fulfillment information from businesses and their connected systems.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • create, verify, authenticate, and administer accounts;
  • publish product and professional profiles and connect marketplace participants;
  • create attributed checkout links, process sales, calculate commissions, facilitate payouts, and maintain transaction records;
  • create customer accounts after purchase and deliver product access or activation emails;
  • review reps and sales, detect misuse, protect accounts, investigate disputes, and enforce our terms;
  • provide customer service and operational communications;
  • generate requested AI assisted content and improve the reliability of platform features;
  • comply with legal, tax, accounting, payment network, and regulatory obligations; and
  • maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve Closr.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information to perform our contract with you, pursue legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, comply with legal obligations, and obtain consent where required.

4. How we share information

We share information only as needed for the purposes described above:

  • Marketplace participants: businesses receive attributed sale, rep, buyer, and fulfillment details needed to review sales and deliver products. Reps receive product, business, sale, commission, and payout information. Customers receive business support and product access details.
  • Service providers: Stripe provides payments and connected account services; Google provides optional sign in; Resend delivers transactional emails; OpenAI processes prompts submitted to AI features; and hosting, database, and infrastructure providers operate the service.
  • Administrators and advisers: authorized administrators, contractors, accountants, auditors, insurers, and legal advisers may access information when needed to operate and protect Closr.
  • Legal and safety disclosures: we may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, payment network rules, or valid government requests, or to protect users, Closr, and the public from fraud, abuse, or harm.
  • Business changes: information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of the platform, subject to applicable law.
No sale of personal information. Closr does not sell personal information or share it for cross context behavioral advertising. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.

5. Cookies and similar technology

Closr currently uses only essential cookies. These cookies keep users signed in, protect the Google sign in flow, maintain customer sessions, and help secure the service. They are not used to build advertising profiles. You can block cookies in your browser, but authentication and protected account features may stop working.

6. Data retention and security

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain transaction and payout records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, meet legal and accounting obligations, and protect the platform. As a baseline, sales, payout, tax, and accounting records are retained for the applicable legal period (typically up to 7 years); security and administrative audit logs for 24 months; and resolved privacy/support requests for 24 months. A legal hold or active dispute may extend a period. We may retain deidentified information that can no longer reasonably identify you.

Closr uses safeguards appropriate to the information we process, including access controls, hashed passwords and session tokens, encrypted payout destination details, transport encryption in production, and restricted administrative access. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of personal information; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; and appeal or complain to a privacy regulator. You will not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising a privacy right.

California residents may also request the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, the categories of sources and recipients, and the business purposes for collection and disclosure. Closr does not sell personal information or share it for cross context behavioral advertising, so there is no sale or advertising share to opt out of.

You can update many profile details from your dashboard. For another request, use the privacy request form and choose access, export, correction, or deletion. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and authority. Certain information may be exempt from a request or retained where permitted by law, including transaction, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, and legal records.

Closr does not use solely automated decision making to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Rep approval and sales review include human administrative review.

8. International use and transfers

Closr and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Those countries may have data protection laws different from the laws where you live. Where required, we use legally recognized safeguards for international transfers.

9. Children

Closr is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Closr changes. We will post the revised version here and update the date above. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice when required.

11. Contact us

For privacy questions or requests, use the dedicated privacy request form. You can request access, a portable export, correction, or deletion. Closr Support owns these requests and responds within one business day unless a longer period is required by law.
